Jeffrey Epstein Dead; Apparent Suicide
Billionaire financier Jeffrey Epstein has died by suicide in his Manhattan jail early Saturday morning, three law enforcement officials told ABC News.
He was being held without bail at the Metropolitan Correctional Center awaiting trial on charges of conspiracy and sex trafficking. He pleaded not guilty to the charges, and a judge said he wouldn’t face trial before June 2020.
NY Times:
Mr. Epstein hung himself and his body was found this morning at roughly 7:30.
MSNBC reports that his body was discovered earlier in the morning; at 6:29amEDT, a telephone call went out from MCC reporting an individual — Epstein — in cardiac arrest.
The suicide follows devastating revelations and allegations yesterday in a case against Epstein and his ex-girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell, in which former senator George Mitchell and former governor Bill Richardson were implicated as clients of Epstein’s “massage” girls.

There are confinement protocols to prevent suicides … recall when Chelsea Manning was held at the Quantico Brig? For this to happen in such a high-profile case is beyond suspicious.
