Trump now faces a total of 91 felony charges across 4 indictments.

9pmEDT: Per MSNBC, CNN, the Atlanta grand jury that has heard evidence from prosecuter Fani Willis of election tampering by Donald Trump and his allies has returned indictments. Details concerning individuals indicted and the specific charges remain sealed for the time being, and the indictments have been handed by Judge Robert McBurney, the magistrate presiding over the case, to Ché Alexander, the court clerk.

The Guardian reports: “There could be one or multiple people in each indictments, but it is likely that this means that a minimum of ten people have been charged in these indictments, CNN reports. The grand just will vote yes or no on each indictment, by majority vote (12 of 23 jurors). The grand jury voted yes to indict everyone presented to it, CNN says.”

From NBC’s Gary Grumbach: “At 8:58pm, a rep from Fulton County Superior Court Clerk’s office, a representative from the Fulton County District Attorney’s office and several representatives from the Fulton County Sheriff’s office walked into courtroom 8D – Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney’s courtroom. The District Attorney’s office representative was holding a stack of papers. They were greeted by the Judge, who said ‘is it evening or night?’ when the representative from the DA’s office said ‘Good evening.’ McBurney went through every indictment – it appeared there were multiple – making sure they were all signed and the various forms were properly filled out. He asked the DA’s rep ‘Everything went as it should have in front of the grand jury?’ The DA’s rep said, ‘Yes your honor.’ The Judge did not read anything aloud from the indictment. McBurney then handed the indictments to the Clerk’s office representative, as he instructed her to maintain custody of the indictments. She departed the courtroom, en route to the Clerk’s office to file the indictment.”

Per MSNBC, 8:59pmEDT: It appears that the grand jury has returned an indictment or indictments; they are being unsealed momentarily. Documents are being walked into a magistrate judge’s courtroom; the judge has been seated in the bench since 8:45 per WaPo’s Holly Bailey. Courtroom camera is ON.

The NY Times’ Nicholas Bogel-Burroughs reports: “On top of the large stack of papers that was brought to the clerk’s office and then into the courtroom was one that said, in part, ‘Certification that grand jury indictments returned.'”

Per MSNBC, 8:00pmEDT: Grand Jury is voting, not known on what or how many charges.

Per The Guardian:”The Fulton county district attorney appears determined to finish presenting evidence in the Trump case to the grand jury tonight, according to multiple people familiar – meaning indictments could come tonight.

Victor Shi confirms on his Twitter feed:

Joyce Vance cracks wise:

Earlier: two witnesses originally scheduled to testify before the Atlanta grand jury hearing evidence presented by Fani Willis – journalist George Chidi and former Georgia lieutenant governor Geoff Duncan – testified earlier today. The NY Times has details.

Inside the courthouse, people are currently having dinner. Judge Robert McBurney, who is the duty judge presiding over any grand jury returns, tells reporters he’s been informed he needs to stay for another hour.”
