SCOTUS Does Not Break Trump’s Losing Streak in Courts
U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito issued an order Friday in the legal blitz against vote-counting in Pennsylvania—but all it did was reinforce the status quo.
Alito told Pennsylvania counties they should segregate ballots that were received after Election Day—which the state had already ordered them to do. Alito did not order the counties to stop counting those ballots—which is what the Republicans wanted the high court to do.
The decision came at the end of a day in which Joe Biden pulled ahead of President Trump in the state, putting him tantalizingly close to the needed 270 electoral votes.
